East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
On February 4, the Xiangcheng District of Suzhou signed 114 projects with a total investment of 49.69 billion yuan, covering the fields of advanced manufacturing, digital economy and investment funds.
Suzhou High-tech Zone launched 53 major projects with a total investment of 52.76 billion yuan covering key industries of photon and integrated circuit. This year, Suzhou High-tech Zone will strengthen investment promotion in a bid to achieve a 30% increase in the actual use of foreign capital and a 20% increase in the number of enterprises throughout the year.
Chen Qi, Deputy Director of Suzhou High-tech Entrepreneurship Service Center said, "We will strive to build the community into an international community with both the enthusiasm of innovation and entrepreneurship and the temperature of urban life."
At the construction site of Summit Oil Industry Integration Project in Taixing City, more than 100 construction workers were seen carrying out pipeline connection, thermal insulation, equipment installation and commissioning.
As a major provincial project, the peak oil project is to be allocated 460 million US dollars to form an annual production capacity of 1.08 million tons of oil products.
Liu Jian, Deputy General Manager of Business Development of Singapore Golden Eagle Group in China said, "We expect that the trial production will be realized in March and the production will reach full capacity by the end of this year. At the same time, we are also working hard to promote the construction of the second phase project. The output value of the project will reach 8 to 10 billion yuan."
At the expansion project site of Sheyanggang Power Plant, workers were busy installing the last high-voltage bushing of the start-up and standby transformer.
Xia Xiaofei, Head of Engineering Department of Sheyanggang Power Plant said, "We plan to complete the 10kV reverse power transmission and boiler water pressure before the end of March, start the whole commissioning at the end of July, and fully put into commercial operation at the end of August."
