Police in east China’s Jiangsu province celebrated the third Chinese People's Police Day on Tuesday with ceremonies that saw the hoisting of the national police flag in various parts of the province.
Police officers in various parts of the province saluted the police flag and took oaths on behalf of all policemen and policewomen.

Various forms of commemorative activities for the Police Day have also been held throughout the province. The police in Huai'an returned the stolen and looted property such as cars, motorcycles, electric bicycles and 100,000 yuan of cash to the victims.
The police in Nantong and Yancheng set up modern police equipment exhibitions, drug model exhibitions and open police camps to publicize and explain the safety prevention knowledge to the public.
According to the Department of Public Security of Jiangsu Province, in 2022, the province significantly improved the quality of public security work and team construction, and the people's sense of security reached 99.5%, setting a record high.
Police in Jiangsu shortened the time of receiving 110 calls by 20%, received more than 36.09 million calls, accepted 5.357 million calls for help, and rescued 1.2454 million people in emergency.
The number of alarm calls received by the police in the past five years has been decreasing year by year, indicating that the grass-roots social governance in Jiangsu has been effective.
