On the morning of December 20, Suzhou opened the Taicang Wharf Section of Haitong, which is intended to build a "T" shaped roll-roll logistics network along the East China Sea and the Yangtze River, build a logistics center for multi-modal commercial vehicles and provide a strong guarantee for the export of Chinese automobile brands.
With a construction investment of more than 2 billion yuan，the Haitong Taicang Wharf Project is designed with 4 berths, an annual design capacity of 1.3 million vehicles.
The terminal will become the largest automobile terminal in the Yangtze River, further optimize the layout of the automobile logistics industry in the Yangtze River Delta, and help the transformation and upgrading of the automobile logistics industry.
Shu Chenhui, director of the Port Office of Suzhou Taicang Port Management Committee, was quoted as saying that Taicang Port will accelerate the transformation from a logistics port to a goods trade port, relying on the advantages of domestic and foreign trade automobile terminals, port dredging railway branch lines and other collection and distribution, deeply integrating high-quality resources in the hinterland, and building a city that is called a multi-modal logistics center for commercial goods.
He said that Taicang Port will help Suzhou to build a strong auto industry city, provide auto manufacturers with a one-stop whole vehicle logistics service integrating shipping, warehousing, port collection, distribution and distribution, further smooth the domestic and international double circulation, and provide a strong guarantee for the export of domestic cars.
In the morning of December 19, Changzhou Jintan District exported goods by river and sea for the first time. The cargo ship carrying the photovoltaic module goods produced by Yijing Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. Started from Jintan Port and directly sailed to Shanghai Yangshan Port. The whole journey takes 36 hours and the voyage is 430 kilometers.
The 430-km route takes 36 hours. After arriving at Yangshan Port, these goods will be exported to Brazil by international liner on December 23.
