Suzhou Light Rail Line 8 crosses many rivers and bridges, and lies close to residential buildings, which makes construction difficult. For this reason, the Project Department organized many expert demonstrations and technical reviews before the operation of the shield machine.

These machines are easy to slide down the slope. Therefore, we add anti slip measures and adjust the parameters of the shield machine to ensure the safety of the shield machine when it passes underneath the buildings and the Zhongtang River in Jinji Lake, so as to avoid water and sand gushing accidents.
Up to now, 20 stations of Metro Line 8 have completed the construction of main structures, and 26 single lines of shield tunnel sections have been completed.
