Suzhou held a series of activities in France and Uruguay recently to continue boosting its ties and exchanges with the world.
Suzhou (Taicang) Paris Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Conference
The 2022 Suzhou (Taicang) Paris Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Conference kicked off at Centre Culturel de Chine à Paris on the afternoon of December 11 (France Time). During the event, Taicang (Paris) Innovation Centre was inaugurated; four French experts were appointed as Taicang Scientific Innovation Ambassadors; and a number of intended projects were reached.
So far, there are over 1,500 foreign-invested enterprises in Taicang. A batch of French-invested companies such as Fives Cryo, Infiplast, and Green&Light Automotive Components have established offices in the city.
Promoting A Higher Level of Cooperation Between Toulouse and Taicang
On the morning of December 12 (France time), the first Taicang-Toulouse Aerospace Industry Cooperation Conference and Taicang High-tech Zone Aerospace Industry Promotion Conference were held in Toulouse, France. Centering on regional resources, reserve of talents, and industrial foundation, representatives from Taicang introduced how their city would cooperate with Central Europe to turn Taicang into a global industrial base of aeronautics and astronautics.
Up till now, Taicang has attracted more than 100 aerospace supply chain companies including Dassault Aviation. In 2022, GACP China Hub set up an office in Taicang High-tech Zone, which has become an important bridge that connects the aerospace industry between China and the world.
Children's Art Competition: The Garden of My City
Suzhou's sister city Fray Bentos in Rio Negro, Uruguay held a children's art competition themed on "The Garden of My City" recently.
Omar Lafluf Hebeich, Governor of Rio Negro, and María del Huerto Tori, Director of Cultural Department, attended the event and gave away gifts to the children.
