Photo taken on Dec. 2 shows a view of the container terminal of Taicang Port with 3,286 cars waiting to be transported to Southeast Asia and South America.
Since the beginning of this year, Taicang Port’s throughput of automobiles has witnessed a steady growth because of the increasing competitiveness of Chinese automobile manufacturers and the rising demand of the overseas market. From January to November, the port handled 318,000 vehicles, of which 126,000 were exported overseas.
