China Automobile Standardization Institute was established in Tianjin on Monday, becoming the only scientific research institution specialized in automobile standardization research and application in China.
China Automotive Standardization Institute will be responsible for the technical management of national standards and industrial standards in the automotive field by participating in the coordination and formulation of laws and regulations of the United Nations and some other international automotive standards on behalf of China.
In the future, the Institute will focus on the standardization research of more than 10 automotive forward-looking technologies, promote the formulation of more than 80 new standard projects, and cooperate with developed countries in the automotive industry and Belt and Road countries to complete 15 international automotive standard systems.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out that China has issued and implemented more than 1400 auto industry standards, and has secured a place in international standards and regulations.
