Built by Suzhou Polytechnic Institute of Agriculture and Suzhou Garden Design Institute, the Bamboo Garden occupies 4,200 square meters, and is the largest international garden at Floriade. The innovative design contains the popular new media interactive installations so that foreign visitors can learn Suzhou and Chinese culture in an immersive way.
The Bamboo Garden has been favored by many international dignitaries, including Annemarie Jorritsma, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands and Commissioner General of the International Horticultural Exhibition Floriade Expo, and Bernard Oosterom, Former President of AIPH (the International Association of Horticultural Producers). "In spite of the huge job to build the Bamboo Garden, the six distinct themed sectors and a rich variety of flowers and plants have added to the fantastic and amazing presentation," said Bernard Oosterom.
