As the fifth Chinese Doctor's Day is approaching, Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, visited on Thursday the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University to inspect medical and health work, key project construction, greet medical workers and extend holiday greetings and high respect to the vast number of medical workers in the province on behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government.
When visiting the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Wu Zhenglong said that women's and children's health is the cornerstone of national health, and is related to the hope of the motherland and the future of the nation.
He said efforts must be made to continuously improve the capacity of maternal and child health services, expand the supply of maternal and child health resources, provide women and children with full-cycle, all-round and warm medical and health care services, bring joy and happiness to thousands of households, and provide strong support for the implementation of efficient fertility policies and active response to population aging.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee encouraged the hospital to adhere to the people's health needs as the guide, and build a women's and children's medical care center representing Jiangsu's level with first-class hardware and first-class software.
During his inspection of the newly-built outpatient ward complex of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Wu Zhenglong spoke highly of the hospital's adherence to the patient-centered approach and the improvement of service quality.
He hoped that the hospital will take the operation of the new building as a new starting point, deepen reform and innovation, continuously promote the high-quality development of the hospital, and provide the people with full-cycle and all-round health services.
Wu Zhenglong also inquired in detail about the construction and use of the "image cloud" platform across the province, requiring the promotion of interconnection, co-construction and sharing of the platform, strengthening of data security, and promoting the collaboration and cooperation of various hospitals, so that patients can obtain better and more convenient medical services.
During the inspection tour, Wu Zhenglong emphasized that the party committees and governments at all levels should always put the protection of people's health in the strategic position of priority development, continue to promote the planning and construction of key medical and health projects, optimize the layout of urban and rural areas, improve hierarchical diagnosis and treatment services, deepen the reform of the medical and health system, strengthen the construction of medical and health teams, focus on building a strong public health system, and provide strong support for better providing high-quality and efficient medical and health services, preventing and resolving major epidemics and sudden public health risks, and building a healthy Jiangsu.
