A few days ago, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, the Municipal Market Supervisory Bureau, the Huai'an Branch of the People's Bank of China, and State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company jointly published Interim Measures for the Certification of Environmentally Friendly Benchmarking Enterprises in Huai'an City. The departments concerned will start the certification accordingly.
Environmentally friendly enterprises are those which focus on energy saving, environmental protection, and safety with intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, resourceful waste, and low carbon energy.
The Measures contain detailed incentives to encourage enterprises to make eco-friendly transformations. Huai'an government will award RMB 200,000, RMB 500,000, and RMB one million respectively to the newly-approved municipal enterprises, and provincial and national green factories. In addition, many departments offer preferential policies, which makes the qualification more desirable.
