Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu, met with Sun Yongcai, Chairman of CRRC Group, in Nanjing on Monday afternoon.
Wu Zhenglong and Xu Kunlin expressed their welcome to Sun Yongcai for his visit to Jiangsu and their thanks to CRRC for its contribution to the development of Jiangsu over the years.
He said Jiangsu is stepping up its efforts to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech delivered on July 27 at the opening ceremony of a study session of provincial and ministerial-level officials and the important speech delivered at the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
The CPC provincial chief noted that efforts are being made to completely, accurately and fully implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, focus on promoting high-quality development, efficiently coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, coordinate development and safety, and go all out to complete the primary goals and tasks of the year so as to further consolidate the momentum of economic recovery and turnaround, and take practical actions to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Wu Zhenglong also remarked that the equipment manufacturing industry lays the foundation for the country’s economic development, adding that CRRC leads the country with its scale and technology while the "Fuxing" EMU represents a new height of China’s manufacturing sector and become the best brand symbol for China to show its development achievements to the rest of the world.
Commenting on Jiangsu’s advantages and resources in economic development, manufacturing industry and market potentials, Wu expressed his confidence in the cooperation between Jiangsu and CRRC with huge space and broad prospects for future development.
He hoped that CRRC will launch more major investment projects in Jiangsu, further deepen the all-round cooperation between the two parties in the fields of rail transit equipment manufacturing, new energy, and ecological environmental protection, and give full play to the huge stimulating effect of market demand so as to accelerate the advancement of the industrial foundation and the modernization of the industrial chain, and work together to shift the industry towards the mid-to-high end of the global value chain and industrial chain, and jointly serve the overall development of the country.
Wu Zhenglong said that Jiangsu will make every effort to provide high-quality and efficient services, create a better environment for CRRC Group’s development in Jiangsu, achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results, and help CRRC Group to accelerate to become a world-class enterprise with excellent products, outstanding brands, leading innovation and modern governance.
Sun Yongcai thanked Jiangsu Province for its strong support for the development of CRRC. He said that with rail transit equipment as the core, CRRC will build a world-class high-end equipment manufacturer and system solution provider with global competitiveness.
He said that CRRC will continue to join hands with Jiangsu and serve Jiangsu by providing Jiangsu with the best resources, the best talents, and the best solutions so as to create a model of central-local cooperation in the new era, and help Jiangsu take the lead in high-quality development.
Present at the meeting were Fei Gaoyun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, and Chen Jiangang, Secretary-General of the Provincial Government.
