The industrial chain and supply chain are the backbone of the economy. As a manufacturing powerhouse, Jiangsu has strengthened the work of ensuring and stabilizing the supply chain, which is of great significance to the Yangtze River Delta region and even the whole country.
In early April, Jiangsu established working groups to stabilize the industrial chain and supply chain. The departments of industry and information technology, transportation, and commerce cooperated with each other, and the provincial, municipal and county governments actively responded to the demands of enterprises.
The semiconductor equipment independently developed by Jiangsu Microconductive Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. has filled a gap in the domestic atomic layer deposition technology field. In the first half of the year, the company kept production and obtained orders of 1.6 billion yuan.
"During the epidemic prevention and control period, we implemented closed production, arranged for nearly 400 people to stay in the factory and the government provided assistance to ensure living materials, nucleic acid testing, and truck transportation. At the same time, Jiangsu launched a package of policies to help enterprises ease their difficulties and accelerate the restoration of market confidence.
In the first half of the year, Jiangsu reported a 2.1% year-on-year increase in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size with a single growth of 6.1% in June alone.
Jiangsu has taken various measures to promote employment by issuing policies such as "Several Measures on Stabilizing and Expanding Employment" to help college graduates and migrant workers get employed.
In the first half of the year, 696,700 urban people in Jiangsu were employed, ranking first in the country and accounting for more than 1/10 of the country.

Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has achieved a GDP of 5,690.91 billion yuan in the first half of the year with the total import and export volume increasing by 10% year-on-year.
New energy vehicles have injected vitality into the emerging consumption market. The digital economy is developing rapidly. The output value of Jiangsu's high-tech industries increased by 9.5% year-on-year, and direct foreign investment increased by 31.5%, accounting for 20.2% of the national proportion.
