Jiangsu releases new measures to stabilize foreign trade

East China’s Jiangsu province has released new measures to stabilize foreign trade amid the accelerated pace of economic recovery, according to a press conference held Monday afternoon by the provincial government. 

Jiangsu has introduced 12 specific measures in four aspects that include promoting the smooth flow of foreign trade, helping foreign trade companies obtain orders to expand the market, stabilizing the foreign trade industrial chain and supply chain, and increasing fiscal, taxation and financial support.

Jiangsu will completely cancel the epidemic prevention restrictions on freight vehicles from low-risk areas, and support Nanjing Lukou Airport and Sunan Shuofang Airport to open new international freight routes to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

In terms of people flow, Jiangsu will optimize the invitation process for foreign professionals in economic, trade and technical fields to visit Jiangsu. Jiangsu will support foreign technicians to apply for entry into the province through the fast lane so as to promote the resumption of work and production.

"We have strengthened the services for key foreign trade and economic enterprises,and made every effort to ensure the exchanges of production, logistics, labor,and economic and trade personnel for the smooth and stable foreign trade industrial chain and supply chain."said Zhou Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province.

Jiangsu will play the role of special funds at all levels to support enterprises to participate in 50 overseas international exhibitions in various ways and obtain orders to expand the market.

The province will also organize no less than 100 trade promotion activities for Belt and Road countries. In the meantime, Jiangsu will accelerate the integration and development of market procurement and cross-border e-commerce, foreign trade comprehensive service enterprises, overseas warehouses, and China-Europe trains to ensure that customs and tax policies will promote exports.
