East China’s Jiangsu province has issued the "Nine Policies for the Sports Industry" to further help the sports market players reduce their burdens, overcome difficulties and reduce the continuous impact of the covid-19 epidemic on the sports industry.
According to a survey conducted by the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, from January to April 2022, 374 sports service enterprises were suspended for an average of 64 days.
About 95% of sports service enterprises experienced a year-on-year decline in operating income while encountering varied difficulties in terms of labor, rent and operating costs, and capital chain.
The Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau recently issued the "Notice on Several Measures to Further Help Sports Market Entities Relieve Difficulties and Promote the Steady Development of the Sports Industry" in a bid to alleviate the impact of the epidemic, solve difficulties, accelerate the resumption of work and production of sports enterprises, and promote the steady development of the sports industry.

Jiangsu will also promote the construction of national and provincial sports consumption pilot cities, create new sports consumption scenarios such as sports parks, sports tourism bases, and outdoor sports camps, issue sports consumption coupons, open public sports venues and resume national fitness and sports competitions.
