Jiangsu will promote digital capabilities to improve the development of people's livelihood services, according to the Action Plan for Improving People's Quality of Life between 2022 and 2025 recently issued by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
Jiangsu will implement four action plans to make up for shortcomings and four actions to make improvement in people’s livelihood.
Efforts will be made to improve public services, service facilities, community service capabilities, professional skills and professionalism of practitioners.
The province will speed up the improvement of service facilities for the elderly, children and the disabled, promote the transformation of urban and rural public service facilities and public spaces for aging and children, and build communities for all ages.
By 2025, the province will have completed the construction of comprehensive elderly care service centers in urban areas, urban and rural community elderly care service stations, elderly education and teaching points, and urban community elderly meal service stations.
Jiangsu will also promote digital empowerment of people's livelihood services, innovate and develop people's livelihood service models, and promote the deep integration and cross-border integration of new-generation information technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, and virtual reality with life services, so as to improve the quality of people's livelihood services, the development of people's livelihood service industry, the quality of urban and rural life.
Efforts will be made to promote the development of "contactless" services to meet the needs of routine epidemic prevention and control, build online supermarkets, offline unmanned supermarkets, and unmanned shops, speed up the construction of smart business zones, and support the incorporation of many small and medium-sized business entities into the digital economy ecosystem.
