Taicang in East China's Jiangsu province, initiated a new round of mass vaccination against COVID-19 on May 4.
The latest round is mainly aimed at senior citizens..
Taicang now has 13 COVID-19 vaccination sites that provide vaccines for free.
At an inoculation site in the city's Science and Education New City, 200 residents can be inoculated in less than an hour.
Workers at the Taicang disease control and prevention center said that seniors above the age of 60 face a high risk of developing serious symptoms if they get infected by COVID-19. Vaccinations will thus reduce this risk.
