Suzhou Traffic Police issued a friendly reminder on May 8 in the wake of increased traffic flow on expressways.

As more and more companies resumed work and production, expressways have seen a significant increase in traffic flow, which leads to traffic congestion at checkpoints. Therefore, residents traveling within the city are advised to avoid expressways and use roads on the ground as much as possible.

Suzhou Traffic Police has posted the reminder at intersections across the city in a bid to reduce the high traffic load at checkpoints and ease the risk of accidents on expressways.
Additionally, when planning routes for users, navigation apps will remind them to avoid using expressways if possible.
