A number of projects in Suzhou have made progress. Let’s take a quick look.
Suzhou Urban Construction Museum
Based on the Pan’s Residence on Weidaoguanqian, Suzhou Urban Construction Museum covers an area of 1,600 square meters and has several exhibition halls, including “Thousands-Year-Old City”, “Modern Suzhou”, “Urban Growth”, “Urban Meeting Room” and “City with One Hundred Museums”. It will soon open to the public on International Museum Day (May 18).
Suzhou South Railway Station
The construction of underground passages of Suzhou South Railway Station was approved by Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission days ago. An inter-city railway themed on water town tourism will be built under Suzhou South Railway Station and share the stations of Suzhou Rail Transit Line 10.
Changshu Station 2.0
Recently, the concrete work on the main structure of South Riverside Intercity Railway Changshu Station has been completed one month ahead of schedule. With a total floor area of 7,799 square meters, the newly built station is right next to Changshu Station of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway. Upon completion, it will go into operation along with South Riverside Intercity Railway.
Suzhou-Tongli-Lili Highway
With the first test pile driven into the ground, the extension project of Tongli-Lili section of 605 Provincial Highway (Suzhou-Tongli-Lili Highway) entered the new phase. When completed, the road will link Suzhou urban area with Wujiang District, and greatly facilitate connectivity and movement among SIP, Wuzhong District, Wujiang District and Fenhu High-tech Zone.
