In the past year, the foreign affairs departments at all levels in Jiangsu has studied and implemented the Xi Jinping thought on diplomacy, actively served the overall situation of the country's diplomacy, made solid efforts to prevent and control the inbound flow of covid-19 cases, launched innovative virtual foreign affairs activities, carried out foreign exchanges, and promoted the province's high-level opening to the outside world with new progress and new achievements, said the statement.
This year will witness the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, making it all the more important for us to further adhere to the Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, study and implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, coordinate the overall domestic and international situation, coordinate development and security, resolutely implement the major foreign policies and strategic arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, and accurately grasp the responsibility and mission of Jiangsu in the overall situation of the party and the country's foreign work to ensure that the province's foreign affairs work is always moving in the right direction, said the statement.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, according to the statement.
