Since this year, Huai'an has taken the project construction as a grip, while focusing on improving the infrastructure in key towns, perfecting the supply system of public services and broadening the employment paths of rural people. The construction of 43 key projects in 10 towns has been promoted in the city, which are expected to complete an annual investment of 1.397 billion yuan.
A key center town is the node that connects the central city, county and rural areas. In order to strengthen its positioning of "modern small city & county sub-center", Huai'an has arranged the construction projects in accordance with the overall regional planning as well as the individual development advantages.
These 43 key projects involve various aspects of farmers' production and life. Projects like road renovation, garbage disposal and sewage treatment will greatly improve the living environment in rural areas; the new construction of facilities such as convenient service centers, township health centers, primary and secondary schools will meet farmers' needs for education, medical care and daily affairs; and the introduction of manufacturing plants, health care industries, and education industries will provide more employment opportunities for farmers and raise their income levels.
