We must work hard to thoroughly study and implement the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on Jiangsu work, make full, accurate and comprehensive implementation of the new development concept, strengthen overall planning, and apply the requirements of green, low-carbon and circular development throughout the entire process of development, according to a statement released after the meeting.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain a deep understanding of the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the statement said.
Further efforts should be made to highlight problem-oriented paths, seize major opportunities, adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, promote the accurate and comprehensive implementation of the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern based on services, adhere to the supply-side structural reform as the main line, coordinate the promotion of reforms in various fields, and take practical actions to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said the statement.
Accelerate the promotion of green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of industries, continue to optimize industrial structure, energy structure, and transportation structure, vigorously cultivate green and low-carbon industries, continue to promote the development of green industries and enhance the power and vitality of green, low-carbon and circular development, according to the statement.
To further deepen the reform, we must unswervingly promote the implementation General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the CPC Central Committee’s major policies and decisions on reform, center on promoting high-quality development, create high-quality life, achieve high-efficiency governance, focus on the needs of market players and the people so as to come up with more achievements that can be replicated and promoted, and fully release the reform dividends, according to the statement.
We must gain a deep understanding and accurate awareness of the great significance of the optimization and structural adjustment of the state-owned economy, focus on building a new development pattern and implementing major national strategies, give full play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation, and better play the role of the government so as to promote the investment of state-owned capital into key areas such as strategic security, national economy and people's livelihood, emerging industries, mid-to-high-end industrial chain value chains, and key core technologies and core competitiveness of enterprises, improve the efficiency of state-owned capital allocation, and promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu's state-owned economy, the statement said.
Efforts shall be made to ensure a stable supply of important livelihood commodities, stabilize prices, coordinate development and security, economic development and social development, and livelihood security, the roles of the government, the market, and society, and strengthen the operation of key links such as production, storage, circulation, and transportation, the statement said.
