East China’s Jiangsu province will make comprehensive measures to promote the recovery and development of the culture and tourism market, according to the Provincial Culture and Tourism Work Conference held Thursday in Nanjing.
In order to accelerate the overall recovery of the culture and tourism market, Jiangsu will ensure the implementation of the recently-issued "Policies and Measures on Promoting the Quality and Expansion of Cultural Tourism Consumption and Accelerating the Overall Recovery of the Cultural Tourism Market".
Consisting of sixteen measures in three aspects, the new deal will increase the assistance to the primary players in the culture and tourism market.
Jiangsu will allocate 85 million yuan from the provincial special funds for cultural and tourism development to support the recovery and innovation of cultural and tourism market players such as travel agencies,tourist attractions, performance agencies, small theaters and specialty tourist hotels.
Jiangsu will also lower the interest rate of the provincial tourism industry development fund in 2022 by 1 percentage point, and allocate 10 million yuan of provincial cultural and tourism development special funds to provide interest subsidies for high-quality fund projects.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will continue to promote rural tourism, red tourism, and cultural heritage tourism, speed up the development of new formats of cultural and museum venue tours, ecological health tourism, industrial tourism, study and research tourism, and sports tourism, and create intangible cultural heritage pop-ups, intangible cultural heritage food, and intangible cultural heritage, and develop "intangible cultural heritage +" cultural tourism products with Jiangsu characteristics so as to continuously enrich the cultural experience of tourists.
Other measures include promoting the construction of nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters, creating a number of nighttime performing arts image projects, launching a number of normalized, featured and diversified nighttime cultural tourism consumer products, giving play to the role of exhibition platforms, and innovating cultural tourism consumption service models to increase publicity and promotion efforts.
