Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, sent his festive greetings to the military servicemen and servicewomen in Jiangsu when visiting a military barrack in Suqian city on Thursday.
On behalf of the provincial party committee, the provincial government and the people of the province, Wu Zhenglong extended his sincere thanks to the military servicemen and servicewomen for their contributions to the economic and social development of Jiangsu and his holiday greetings to all the troops stationed in Jiangsu.
Wu asked the rank and file of the armed forces to bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, implement the Xi Jinping Philosophy on Strengthening the Military for a New Era and the mobilization order for military training signed by General Secretary Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, which declared the start of military training for the year.
The armed forces must closely follow the evolution of technology, warfare and rivals, redouble their efforts to better combine training with combat operations, and strengthen systematic training and the use of technologies to develop an elite force that is capable of fighting and winning wars, the CPC Provincial Chief said.
He said that for a long time, the rank and file of the armed stationed in Jiangsu have looked upon Jiangsu as their hometown, regarded the local people as relatives, and supported local development. In particular, they have greatly assisted in undertaking urgent and dangerous tasks and helping to get rid of poverty, and consolidated the unity of the military, government, and the people for the promotion of local development and progress.
He hoped that the troops stationed in Jiangsu will continue to support and devote to local development, make new and greater contributions to the modernization of Jiangsu and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and take practical actions to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
