East China’s Jiangsu province will strive for greater progress in technological self-reliance through technological innovation and digital economy, according to the annual session of the provincial people’s congress that was concluded on Sunday.
The deputies to the Provincial People's Congress look forward to further accelerating technological self-reliance and strengthening the development of the digital economy.
For the first time, the government work report emphasized the new indicator of the proportion of the added value of the core industries of the digital economy in the regional GDP, and made plans for accelerating the development of the digital economy. The deputies to the Provincial People's Congress and members of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference believe that this has pointed out the way forward for Jiangsu to accelerate industrial transformation and enhance the core competitiveness of the manufacturing industry.
