The 12th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened the fifth session Wednesday at the Jiangsu Great Hall.
On behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the fifth session of the 12th Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and extended sincere greetings to all the members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Wu said that standing at the key point where the history of the two centenary goals intersected and the two overall situations intertwined, and looking back at the magnificent century-long journey, we are more deeply aware that without the Communist Party of China, there would be no New China, and there would be no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, adding that the Communist Party of China has lived up to the choice of history and the people.

Wu Zhenglong pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to and cared about the development of Jiangsu. He personally painted us a grand blueprint for a powerful, prosperous, beautiful and high Jiangsu, and personally entrusted us the glorious mission of striving to be an example and ranking at the forefront.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that this year will witness the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adding that it is the first year for the full implementation of the deployment of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, and an important year for the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan", making the work of this year special and significant.
Wu Zhenglong asked the CPPCC committees at all levels in the province to keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, follow the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and ensure that the economy achieves steady improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity.
He asked Jiangsu to adhere to green development, promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the economy and society, and speed up the construction of a "beautiful Jiangsu", integrate a higher position into the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, comprehensively promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, and practice the people-centered development philosophy.
Wu Zhenglong emphasized that the People's Political Consultative Conference is an organizational form of the united front and an important force for realizing national prosperity, national rejuvenation, and people's happiness.
The CPC Provincial chief asked CPPCC committees at all levels in Jiangsu to bear in mind the important fact that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
He stressed the importance of standing at the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
