East China’s Jiangsu province will comprehensively speed up the construction of a modernized transportation demonstration zone, ensure an annual investment of 180.9 billion yuan, and build a comprehensive transportation network of more than 2,100 kilometers, according to the provincial transportation working conference held on Tuesday.
Jiangsu will continue to speed up the construction of the railway network, and advance the preliminary work of the Changzhou-Taizhou Railway, Rugao-Nantong-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway, and the water village tourism at a faster pace.
Jiangsu will start construction of the North Yangtze River High-speed Railway, Yancheng-Taizhou-Wuxi-Changzhou-Yixing Railway, Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo Railway, Shanghai-Suzhou Railway Phase II and Nanjing-Wuhu Railway Reconstruction Project.
The province will also speed up the construction of the Nanjing-Huai'an Intercity Railway and the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway, basically complete the main project of the South Yangtze River Intercity Railway, and start the construction of the Shangyuanmen Railway Bridge, the Hefei-Suqian Railway, and the Weifang-Suqian Railway.
Three expressways will be constructed to connect Gaochun with Xuancheng, Liyang with Ningde and Sheyang with Yancheng.
Efforts will be made to continue to promote the construction of deep-water seaports and key trunk waterways, and continue to optimize the layout and functional positioning of the airport.
