The number of new COVID-19 infections has recently hit a record high overseas while multiple domestic places have reported locally transmitted cases, piling pressure on China's disease control work. The upcoming Spring Festival holiday is expected to see more trips and gatherings. To do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, Suzhou CDC hereby specifies the following health reminder:

1. Avoid traveling to places outside Suzhou or China except for essential reasons including family reunion and essential official trips. Residents are strongly encouraged to stay put in Suzhou during the holiday and reduce movements if possible. Remember to follow personal protection measures, disinfect hands regularly and undergo daily health monitoring during the trip.

2. Those who are coming from medium-risk or high-risk areas, those whose travel records overlap with the ones of confirmed cases and those whose health codes are abnormal should suspend their trips to Suzhou. Those with abnormal health codes and travel records should report to their residing communities (hotels) at once and avoid going out before risks of infection are eliminated.

3. Those coming or returning to Suzhou from cities with locally transmitted cases should report at the entrance of railway stations, coach stations and other passenger stations, and report to their residing communities (hotels) after they arrive in Suzhou (within 12 hours). They should provide negative nucleic acid testing reports issued over the past 48 hours. Those who cannot provide should take nucleic acid tests in no time, and they will be allowed to travel within the city only if the test results turn out to be negative. Those who plan to continue to stay in Suzhou should conduct 7-day health monitoring, and take a nucleic acid test within 72 hours after arrival (the two tests should be no less than 24 hours apart).

4. Those coming or returning to Suzhou from low-risk areas outside Jiangsu province should carry out 7-day personal health monitoring after arrival, take temperatures in the morning and evening each day, and reduce gatherings.

5. Residents should wear masks properly, show health codes and travel records, and proactively cooperate in prevention and control management when entering buses, rail transit stations, docks and other passenger stations, as well as markets, hotels, restaurants, bars, cinemas, theaters, medical facilities, etc.

6. Teachers, students and school employees coming or returning to Suzhou should follow epidemic prevention and control measures in strict accordance with the prevention and control requirements of education authorities and schools.

7. Residents should increase their health awareness. Seek medical treatment at the nearest fever clinic once symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea and fatigue show, and inform medical staff of their recent whereabouts. Keep the mask on and avoid using public transport when seeking treatment.
