East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its efforts to promote intelligent transformation and digital transformation in the next three years so as to fuel the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
Through three years of development, Jiangsu will significantly improve the digitization, networking, and intelligence level of the manufacturing industry, expand new business forms, new models, and new kinetic energy, strengthen the comprehensive strength of the manufacturing industry, and take the lead in building a national manufacturing high-quality development demonstration zone.
By the end of 2024, industrial enterprises above designated size in the province will fully implement intelligent transformation and digital transformation, and the average annual growth rate of labor productivity will be higher than the growth rate of the added value.
CNC machinery will be adopted in 65% of the key processes of key enterprises and more than 80% of operation management and nearly 90% of R&D and design tools will be digitized.
Jiangsu will focus on the province’s key advanced manufacturing clusters and key industrial chains, implement ten major projects, accelerate the promotion of intelligent transformation and digital transformation of leading enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and industrial chains, and strengthen basic support for industrial Internet platforms, industrial software, intelligent hardware and equipment, network facilities and security.
By the end of 2024, Jiangsu will build 30 national smart manufacturing demonstration factory projects, 300 provincial smart manufacturing demonstration factory projects, 2500 provincial smart manufacturing demonstration workshops, 200 industrial Internet bench-marking factories, and 10 fully-connected 5G factories. Through intelligent transformation and digital transformation, more than 500 small and medium-sized enterprises will realize resource converging of cloud service platforms.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will give full play to the industrial advantages of Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou in integrated circuits, new displays, and intelligent equipment so as to cultivate a number of key ecologically-led industrial chain enterprises, and improve the efficiency of industrial chain collaboration. By the end of 2024, Jiangsu will build 10 key industrial chain collaboration platforms.
Jiangsu will also earmark 1.2 billion yuan of special funds each year to build a talent think-tank platform and introduce strategic scientists, technology leaders and innovative teams in a bid to support the digital transformation and intelligent transformation of industrial enterprises.
