East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development set forth in this year’s government work report. JSBC has the story.
Yangzhou started Tuesday the construction on its first rail transit line, the Nanjing-Yangzhou intercity rail transit line, China's first intercity rail transit line across the Yangtze River.
16 stations will be built along the first phase of the project that is about 57.79 kilometers long.
The rail transit line starts from Xianlinhu Station of Nanjing Metro Line 4 in the south and ends in the north at Yangzhou West Railway Station by passing through Nanjing Qixia District, Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yizheng City, Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Hanjiang District.
With a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour, the rail transit line will cut back on the commute between Nanjing and Yangzhou to more than 30 minutes when it opens to traffic in 2026.
In Taizhou Sports Park, constructions have finished laying the lawn and plastic track for the stadium. Taizhou Sports Park is the main venue for the 20th Jiangsu Provincial Games.
The construction party has completed the construction on the stadium, gymnasium, swimming pool, and national fitness center. Lawn repair, environmental sanitation and equipment debugging is in full swing.
Work on the 17.65-million-square meter project started in October 2018.
With a total investment of about 2.4 billion yuan, the sports park includes a 400-meter outdoor warm-up standard track and field, beach volleyball, tennis, basketball, football, rock climbing and other outdoor sports venues and facilities.
