Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, demanded further efforts to promote high quality development so as to meet the goals for social and economic growth and epidemic prevention and control. He made the remarks when going on an inspection tour Tuesday in Taizhou city.
When visiting the command center of the "Healthy Yangtze River Taizhou Action", Wu Zhenglong made detailed inquiry into the ecological environment management along the Yangtze River and the operation of the command center.
He spoke highly of Taizhou’s achievements in the governance of the Yangtze River’s ecological environment and demanded that Taizhou resolutely implement the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, maintain historical patience and strategic determination, strengthen the ecological protection of the Yangtze River, promote ecological and green development, strengthen the problem-oriented approach, work together to promote pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and strive to complete the 10-year fishing ban and ecological restoration of the Yangtze River.
When visiting GEM Cobalt, Wu Zhenglong inspected resource recycling and safe production, and encouraged the company to focus on safe and green development and accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading.
During the visit to Safes Biotechnology, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee learned about technological innovation, process flow, and operation mode, and spoke highly of the high added value and growth potential of the biomedical industry.
He asked the company to take advantage of Jiangsu's complete industrial chain and rich innovation resources to face the lives and health of the people, keep a close eye on market demand, strengthen technological innovation, and strive to seize the commanding heights in global competition.
Wu Zhenglong also visited Nestlé Health Sciences (China) where he encouraged the company to increase investment and produce more high-quality products that are favored by the public.
The CPC Provincial chief also inspected Taizhou Epidemic Prevention and Control Big Data Center and Epidemiological Investigation Center to check the measures in the epidemic prevention and control. He asked the local government to beef up preventive measures at key links such as airport, port and logistics center so as to stop the arrival of inbound cases and the resurgence of domestic cases for the health and well-being of the people.
During the inspection tour, Wu Zhenglong asked the local officials to act in accordance with the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and promote high quality development to greet the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
