Construction of Guangling branch of China Printing Museum broke ground Wednesday in Yangzhou city, east China’s Jiangsu province.
The Guangling branch of the China Printing Museum is expected to be completed before the end of 2023.
The museum will focus on intangible culture and demonstrate the world's intangible cultural heritage engraving printing techniques.
The museum relies on Yangzhou Guangling Ancient Book Engraving Studio to build the country’s largest production base for ancient thread-bound books.
Yangzhou Ancient Book Engraving and Printing Studio preserves a complete set of ancient book engraving printing, movable type production and thread-bound book binding technological processes.
The Guangling branch of China Printing Museum was funded and built by Yangzhou Canal Culture Investment Group. The group has promoted the development of a series of projects such as the Canal Grand Theater and the renewal of the 486 intangible cultural heritage gathering area.
