East China’s Jiangsu province reported steady economic growth in the first 11 months of this year, according to latest figures released by the provincial bureau of statistics.
In November, the province's industrial added value above designated size increased by 5.8% year-on-year, and the growth rate rebounded by 2.7 percentage points from the previous month.
Among the 40 industry categories included in the statistics, 31 industries reported year-on-year increase of 77.5% in their added value. The power, heating, electronics, and electrical industries maintained rapid double-digit growth.
From January to October, the service industry above designated size reported a 25.5% year-on-year growth in the operating income, continuing to maintain a year-on-year growth of more than 20%.
In November, the province's investment and consumption maintained steady growth.
From January to November, the province's fixed asset investment completed a year-on-year increase of 5.9% with project investment posting 7% year-on-year increase.
Manufacturing investment increased by 17%, and investment in high-tech industries increased by 21.7% year-on-year.
From January to November, 2,540 projects over one billion yuan of investment were included in the statistics, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%.
In November, the province’s retail sales of consumer goods reached 365.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%.
Online retail sales of commodities above designated size increased by 26.8% in November, accounting for 22.6% of retail sales of the retailers above designated size.
