The first batch of shared bikes have been put into use in downtown Suzhou after a launching event held last Saturday.
Suzhou urban management departments allow Hellobike and Meituan to offer their bike sharing service across the city. The two companies plan to distribute a total of 68,000 shared bikes in the city proper.
Some of the original parking for non-motor vehicles is used as the parking space for shared bikes. Users can park the bikes inside the areas with signs, or look up these areas via their smart phones.
