
On December 9, the 16th Taiwan Entrepreneurs Forum grandly kicked off. Chen Deming, former chairman of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, sent a congratulatory letter. Liu Lihua, deputy director of the Economic Committee of CPPCC National Committee and convener of the mainland side of the Information Industry Cooperation Promotion Group of the Cross-Straits Entrepreneur Summit, attended the opening ceremony. In addition, speeches were made by Chen Xingying, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Chen Binhua, Deputy Director of the Economic Bureau of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the first-level inspector, Chen Zhichang, Secretary of Huai'an Municipal Party Committee, Li Zhenghong, President of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland and the Shanghai Karon Eco-valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Qin Ronghua, President of Huai'an Association of Taiwan and the Board of Directors of Minth Group. Shi Zhijun, deputy secretary of Huai'an municipal party committee and acting mayor, presided over the guest speaker session.
At the opening ceremony, Liu Lihua and Shi Zhijun unveiled a plaque for the cross-strait exchange base of the Huai'an Grand Canal Cultural Belt. Xu Dayong, secretary and vice chairman of Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions, and Sun Jibing, deputy director of Jiangsu Taiwan Affairs Office, unveiled the plaque for the Industrial Labor Training Institute of Huai'an Taiwanese Investment Demonstration Zone. 37 Taiwan-invested projects were signed at the ceremony, with a total investment of 39.4 billion yuan.
This year's Taiwan Entrepreneurs Forum was held under the theme of "Deepening Industrial Integration & Development, Sharing Opportunities and Breaking New Ground" in both online and offline manners. While focusing on comprehensively enhancing industrial support, innovation drive and open competitiveness, it actively explores new modes and paths for cross-strait integration and development, as well as new resources and business opportunities for cross-strait industrial cooperation. It is hoped that a new chapter of industrial exchanges between the two sides can be greatly promoted.
