In order to meet the needs of modernizing the ecological and environmental governance system and implementing more accurate and effective supervision, Huai'an ecological and environmental departments have been strengthening the use of scientific and technological means. "Navigation Vehicle + Infrared Thermography" are adopted for precise law enforcement, by which a number of environmental violations have been found and investigated, as well as public concerns have been timely responded to.
Recently, officers from Huai'an Bureau of Ecology and Environment went on a patrol at the Hongze Economic Development Zone, and monitored the high value of pollutants, the main components of which are formaldehyde and amine-containing substances. By taking the navigation vehicle, law enforcement officers together with technical personnel investigated the upwind enterprises, and used thermal imaging to check the high value area. It has been found that there was the pipeline valve leakage of an enterprise's material transfer pump, so the officers ordered to rectify and to file a case directly on the spot.
