A symposium was held Wednesday morning in Nanjing on the study of the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China Central Committee.
Lou Qinjian, member of the Central Publicity Group and Vice Chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress, gave a lecture. Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presided over the symposium and delivered a speech. Xu Kunlin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor, and Zhang Yizhen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the meeting.
Lou Qinjian made a comprehensive and systematic interpretation of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Party and the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century adopted at the sixth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China Central Committee.
The report delivered by Lou Qinjian vividly explained the significance of summarizing the party’s major achievements and historical experience in the past century, and clarified the foresight of the Party Central Committee to learn from history and create the future.
The report focuses on explaining the original mission and major achievements of the party’s centuries of struggle, clarifying the main line of bearing in mind the founding mission, and expounded on the historic achievements and historic changes in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, emphasizing the significance and practical requirements of keeping in line with the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
From the perspectives of historical logic, theoretical logic, and practical logic, the report emphasized that the whole party must firmly support Comrade Xi Jinping as the core of the Party Central Committee and the core of the whole party, and firmly maintain the consistency of the thoughts, will, and actions with the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era.
The participants unanimously agreed that the publicity report is based on the actual situation in Jiangsu so that it has both political heights and theoretical depth, rich historical facts and fresh cases.
Deeply inspired and profoundly educated, the participants said the report fully and accurately comprehended the rich connotation and spiritual essence of the Sixth Plenary Session, and followed the spirit of the Plenary Session in thinking and actions, making it a systematic and high-quality counseling and guidance.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that the publicity report made by the Central Publicity Group will play an important guiding and promoting role for us to fully and accurately grasp and better implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session, adding that Comrade Lou Qinjian's report provided us with a high-quality guidance for in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Central Committee.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested a deep understanding of the significance of the Party Central Committee’s Sixth Plenary Session and the resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on major achievements and historical experience of the Party over the past century, deeply and conscientiously implemented the decisive significance and practical requirements of important decision that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee.
He asked all regional governments and government departments to study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session as a strong driving force, and coordinate epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, development and security, and economic development and people's livelihood in accordance with the deployment and requirements of the provincial party congress,strive to write a new chapter in the modernization of Jiangsu and welcome the party's 20th national congress of CPC with outstanding achievements.
