East China’s Jiangsu province reported steady industrial growth in October, the provincial bureau of statistics said on Sunday.
In October, Jiangsu reported a year-on-year increase of 3.1% in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size.
23 of the 40 industrial sectors listed in the statistics reported a year-on-year increase of added value by 57.5%.
The output of high-end equipment manufacturing products such as optical fiber, industrial robots, and new energy vehicles posted a respective increase by 26.4%, 82.2%, and 2.4 folds.
From January to October, the province's fixed asset investment increased by 6.3% year-on-year. Project investment increased by 7.2%, and manufacturing investment increased by 17.8%.
In October, Jiangsu reported a total retail sales of consumer goods of 368.50 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%.
From January to October, the province's total retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.541 trillion yuan, an increase of 18% year-on-year, indicative of a generally stable consumer goods market.
