Costco recently announced its Suzhou store will be open for business on December 8 this year.
Up to present, the whole project has been completed and passed final acceptance. The operational staff are now in place and commodities are being put on the shelves.

Costco, headquartered in Seattle, is the second largest retailer in the world with an annual revenue of 141 billion U.S. dollars. Costco has more than 780 warehouse stores around the world and a membership of over 97.2 million.
Costco's Suzhou subsidiary, established in January, 2020, bought the piece of land at auction on April 9, 2020. The new Costco store is located to the west of Chengji Road and south of Decathlon in Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone, SND.
As the company's second store on Chinese mainland, Costco Suzhou covers a floorage of some 52,000 square meters, with the 1st floor being the shopping area (approx. 16,000 square meters) and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors being the parking lots.
With the opening of Costco, Xushuguan will develop into a commercial cluster populated by Aeon, IKEA, Decathlon and Costco to better meet the diversified needs of residents and promote the consumption in this area.
