In 2025, the added value of Jiangsu's service industry is expected to reach 7 trillion yuan, according to Jiangsu’s Modern Service Industry Development Plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan period released by the Provincial Government at a press conference on Thursday.
At present, the proportion of the added value of Jiangsu's service industry has exceeded half of the province's total economic output.
In the next five years, Jiangsu will focus on the safety and stability of the industrial chain and supply chain, and promote the production service industry with professional and high-end services.
Jiangsu will also focus on the needs of the people for a better life to promote the upgrading of the life service industry towards high quality and diversification.
Jiangsu will build a new "775" service industry system, focusing on the development of 7 advantageous service industries including scientific and technological services, strengthening the development of 7 growth service industries including health services, and making breakthroughs in the development of 5 leading service industries including big data services.
By 2025, Jiangsu will basically become a world-class, domestically leading modern service industry highland, and become a model for the development of the national service industry.
In the meantime, Jiangsu will promote the implementation of about 150 key service industry projects each year by allocating about 100 billion yuan in the annual service industry investment.
By 2025, Jiangsu will further demonstrate the core competitiveness and comprehensive development advantages of the modern service industry with the added value of its service industry expected to reach about 7 trillion yuan.
