The China International Import Expo or CIIE has sent a positive signal to the world that China is determined to expand its opening up. With the help of CIIE as an important platform, Jiangsu has accelerated the high-quality development of the export-oriented economy, and also provided a broader space for cooperation.

At this year's International Import Expo, a refrigerator exhibited by Bosch Home Appliances seems to have only one door, but when you open this mezzanine, you will find that there is a dedicated space in the refrigerator to store your cosmetics with the most suitable temperature and humidity.

In response to the habits of Chinese consumers, this smart refrigerator divides the storage area into more refined sections. In addition to the cosmetic compartment, it also has special storage sections for tea and medicinal materials for freshness concerns.

Other exhibits include a large household dishwasher that saves 88% of water, a dryer that makes clothes more fluffy, and the world's first portable clothing sterilization and deodorization instrument that is only the size of a mouse.

Many of the new products showcased by Bosch Home Appliances this year originated from its new China R&D Center in Nanjing.

Many foreign companies in Jiangsu have found new partners at the CIIE. The International Life Science Innovation Park jointly created by Wuxi and AstraZeneca introduced a team led by two academicians last Friday and signed a series of agreements to promote clinical and university- industry research cooperation.

The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University and GE Healthcare have reached an agreement on purchasing the first positron emission magnetic resonance imaging system in Huaihai Economic Zone.

Gulou District of Nanjing City and CB Richard Ellis reached a strategic cooperation to establish an international consumption center city research center.

Nantong COSCO Shipbuilding and Japanese JFE and other companies signed agreements with a total value of 35 million U.S. dollars on steel products, generators, radars and other products to further deepen industrial cooperation in East Asia.
