Wu Zhenglong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Xu Kunlin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor, met in Nanjing on Saturday afternoon with Jiangsu’s representative of role models and advanced firefighters in national emergency management system.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Wu Zhenglong congratulated the role models and advanced firefighters who returned to Jiangsu after attending the National Commendation Conference in Beijing, and thanked them for their outstanding performance and important contributions.
He said that the commendation and the meeting in Beijing shows General Secretary Xi Jinping’s concern over emergency management and his care for the officials and firefighters of the emergency management system.
It is an honor for you to receive a national commendation, an honor for the emergency management system of the whole province, and an honor for the people of the whole province,Wu Zhenglong said.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly praised the province’s emergency management system for its insisting on the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era as the guidance, keeping in mind the General Secretary’s important instructions to deal with urgent and dangerous tasks such as major accident rescue and disposal, flood fighting, epidemic prevention and control, and special rectification of production safety by showing the courage to fight, charge forward, and guard the happiness and well-being of thousands of households with enthusiasm and sincerity.
Wu Zhenglong hoped that the officials and fire rescue officers of the province’s emergency management system will thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core so as to better coordinate development and safety, become more conscious in learning from heroes and advocating heroes, resolutely take up the sacred duty of protecting the people's safety and benefiting the people, and make contributions in the new journey of building socialist modernization in an all-round way.
The role models and advanced firefighters expressed that they must earnestly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, better play an exemplary and leading role, perform their duties, be courageous in their deeds, and measure up to the expectations and trust of the party and the people.
