Jiangsu Yihuibao No. 1, Jiangsu’s first commercial supplementary medical insurance product linked to basic medical insurance, was released on Thursday.
This medical insurance product guarantees basic medical insurance. With this medical insurance product guaranteeing the basic medical insurance coverage, after the patient is reimbursed for medical expenses, the patient can be compensated about 70% of the cost with a maximum cap of 1 million yuan if the individual out-of-pocket expenses exceed 10 thousand yuan. Outside the scope of basic medical insurance, reasonable and necessary self-financed medicines and high-value medical consumables can be compensated for about 60% of the part that exceeds 20 thousand yuan with a maximum compensation of 1 million yuan. For serious diseases, supplementary compensation protection will be provided. All insured persons, regardless of age, health status, past medical history, and occupation type, can apply for purchase. The proposed annual payment is 158 yuan per year, and the product will be insured early next month.
