East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort.
Taixing Economic and Technological Development Zone started construction on Monday the wharf project of the National Product Oil Reserve 655 Project.
This large oil depot directly invested within the budget of the central government will build its own 5,000-ton wharf on the bank of the east Jiajiang of the Yangtze River.
When the project is put into production at the end of October next year, the project can meet the storage for various refined oil products, and at the same time have the functions of oil receiving and unloading from the dock, vehicle loading, ship loading, and tank dumping.
"The completion of the project has brought a series of significant importance to consolidating the strength of the refined oil reserves in the Jiangsu jurisdiction, improving the control and guarantee capabilities of refined oil in the Yangtze River Delta economic region and promoting the development of the local economy," said Yao Huanqing, Director of the Preparatory Department of the National Product Oil Reserve 655 Project.
Lianyungang is seizing the golden construction period in the fourth quarter to steadily advance a number of major transportation infrastructure construction projects.
On the site of the second phase of the 300 thousand-ton waterway of Lianyungang Port, five large dredgers were busy dredging in the hope of completing 265 million cubic meters of dredging within this year.
Lianyungang is also speeding up the demolition for two major expressways and construction of the southern section of the airport avenue has got the go-ahead from the authorities.
"We will schedule the task book, timetable number of plans, and adopt on-site supervision monthly notification and timely scheduling to ensure that each task is completed by the end of December," said Wang Ding, Director of Comprehensive Planning Division, Lianyungang Transportation Bureau.
