Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, acting governor of Jiangsu, gave their best wishes and paid high tribute to retired senior officials during their visit on Tuesday to the former provincial-level leaders Chen Huanyou, Liang Baohua, Xu Zhonglin and some others.
Wu Zhenglong and Xu Kunlin thanked the retired senior officials for their important contributions made and the solid foundation laid to the development of Jiangsu.
Wu Zhenglong and Xu Kunlin also invited the former provincial-level leaders to give opinions and suggestions on the work of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government.
Wu Zhenglong said that Jiangsu’s achievements in economic and social development are inseparable from the wisdom and strength of the former leaders, adding that we must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the work of veteran cadres.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked the relevant departments to take care of the former leaders and comrades with a grateful heart, adding that it is important to inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition and fine style of the retired senior officials, further strengthen the ideals and beliefs, bear in mind the founding mission so as to live up to the expectations of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the party and the people.
The former leaders expressed their firm support for the decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and their full support for the work of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. They believe that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee with Comrade Wu Zhenglong at the core will be able to lead the people of Jiangsu to work together and make greater achievements.
