Manshan Island

Manshan Island in Taihu Lake will open to the public in October. It is located in Guangfu Town, Wuzhong District, with an area of 1.46 square kilometers. As the third largest island in Taihu Lake, Manshan Island is blessed with picturesque scenery and pristine environment. Traditional lifestyle unique to Jiangnan water town is kept intact here.
Suzhou Museum West

Suzhou Museum West has gone into trial operation since September 29. It lies at the foot of Shishan Mountain in SND, covering 48,365 square meters of floor space, with 13,391 square meters for exhibitions. The new museum branch is designed by GMP Architects and looks like “ten gigantic boxes”. You can learn more about the history of Suzhou, appreciate Suzhou crafts and have a good parent-kid time here. At present, 267 pieces (sets) of cultural relics from the British Museum that date back to ancient Rome are on exhibition.
Shantangdu

Shantangdu debuted as a modern Suzhou garden yesterday. Situated in the city’s Shantang Scenic Spot, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, Shantangdu is a garden floating on the Shantang River and comprised of two parts: 256 square meters on water and 450 on water’s edge. You can experience the garden culture, Suzhou-style food culture, life aesthetics as well as artistic exchanges here.
Pingjiangtiandi Business Center
Pingjiangtiandi Business Center opened to the public on September 30. It is situated at the core area of Pingjiang New Town (Sujin Subdistrict) in Gusu District, covering around 550,000 square meters of floor space. A series of celebrations that revolve around the theme of nighttime economy, including food festival and youth music festival, will be held during the National Day holiday.
Sasseur (Suzhou Bay) Outlets
As the 14th chain outlet store in China, Sassuer (Suzhou Bay) Outlets conducted its grand opening on the October 1. It is located at No. 3688 Kaiping Road, Wujiang District and covers an area of 120,000 square meters. Suzhou Bay Underground Space

The construction of Suzhou Bay Underground Space kicked off in July, 2014 and the whole project passed the acceptance check this year. It is scheduled to open to the public this month. Located in Taihu New town in Wuzhong District, Suzhou Bay Underground Space is the first independent underground space recognized as three-star green building in China and also the largest underground complex beside the Taihu Lake.
