The urban renewal plan of Wuxi Economic Development Zone will focus on "one belt, two towns and three industrial parks, namely Gonghu Avenue, a municipal-level key renewal area, Huazhuang Town, Zhouxin Town, Golden Bay Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Industrial Park, Taihu Bay Information Industrial Park and China Sensor Network Innovation Park.
In addition, Wuxi Economic Development Zone and Taihu New Town Development Group signed an agreement to set up an urban renewal mother fund of 10 billion yuan and launch a cooperation fund of 30 billion yuan for urban renewal projects on the foundation of the mother fund. As the implementation platform of urban renewal in Wuxi Economic Development Zone, Taihu New Town Development Group has cooperated with 29 bank consortiums and construction and operation organizations in fund guarantee, development and construction and investment and operation. 9 projects such as the renovation of both sides of Gonghu Avenue with a total investment of 11.9 billion yuan and the urban renewal of Huazhuang Town with a total investment of 20 billion yuan have been successfully implemented.
