The city of Yangzhou reported 52 new confirmed local cases on Friday, according to Wang Jinsong, deputy director of the Yangzhou Health Commission.
A total of 272 confirmed local cases (74 mild, 177 moderate, 17 severe, and 4 critical) have been reported in the city, Wang said during a press conference held Saturday morning.
Yangzhou now has 1 high-risk area and 70 medium-risk areas.

Wang also added that the third round of city-wide nucleic acid testing has collected 1.5197 million samples and has tested 1.517 million of the samples as of 7 a.m. August 7. 13 positive samples were detected.
