Party members in east China’s Jiangsu province have been mobilized to combat the spreading covid-19 virus in an effort protect and safeguard people’s lives.
Tao Zhi was suffering from a hoarse voice, but is still busy coordinating the residents' request for medicines and daily supplies. He is a volunteer in Lukou Sub-district where the epidemic prevention and control task is the most important.

Tao Zhi had to work 20 hours a day as he is responsible for on-site sampling, distribution of materials, and coordination of residents’ needs in the area under his jurisdiction.
"In 2003, I experienced a SARS outbreak. At that time I was a senior in high school. At that time, it was all party members who protected our health. The uncles and aunts who protected us are now old, now it’s our turn to better protect the people around us,"said Tao Zhi.
Tao Zhi is in good company. Dai Mingze, a party member of the Quanji Hotel in Jianye District, worked in a quarantine hotel for 48 hours. Suffering from a fall during his work, he had his head sewed a few stitches and insisted on returning to the front line of the fight against the epidemic.
The Qixia District Market Supervision and Administration organized three commandos groups of party members to work in shifts to support the registration and guidance of personnel information at sampling points.
Party members from the Nanjing Fire Rescue Detachment came forward to go to hospitals, quarantined hotels, nucleic acid testing sampling points and other front-line epidemic prevention and control.

"We are stationed in the quarantine hotel 24 hours a day and continuously conduct fire safety inspections on the quarantine hotel to ensure there is no fire hazard in the hotel,"said Yang Yun, Supervisor of the Fire Rescue Brigade, Jiangning District, Nanjing.
Yangzhou has enhanced and upgraded the closed management of the urban districts and party members and cadres from all levels of party and government agencies and institutions have been sent to grassroots communities.

On every front of Jiangsu's epidemic prevention and control, party members rushed to the front line and the people joined hands to gather power to fight the epidemic.

"Communists must be on the front line, and the interests of the people must be placed above everything else,"said Xu Ying, party member of the Market Supervision Administration of Qixia District.
"My mother is engaged in the fight against the epidemic on the front line, I have the willingness to join the party. Chinese youth in the new era should live up to the times,"said Xuan Hanyu, Xu Ying's daughter, junior student of law major of Hohai University.
"All party members in our community are actively requesting to go to the front line. We are confident to protect the safety of the residents,"said Xu Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Fenghuangqiao Community, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City.
"Everyone has given full play to advantage of the party organization by really uniting everyone together so that the care and love from the party and the government can be passed on to them through our party organization,"said Jiao Yu, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Party Committee of the Health Commission of Qixia District, Nanjing.
