East China’s Jiangsu province kicked off its 12th Rural Tourism Festival Wednesday in Pukou District of Nanjing.
A series of unique rural tourism activities will attract more people into the rural areas in the month-long festival through the promotion of rural cultural creative products and farm produce and the showcase of the integrated development of culture and tourism across the province. The list of 36 villages shortlisted for rural tourism promotion was released at the launching ceremony of the festival. The provincial department of culture and tourism will strengthen the effect of one village one product to enhance the brand and image publicity in the course of rural tourism, said Shao Xuewen, Director of Resources Development Division, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
