The Grand Canal Museum of China will offer online appointment-based visit through its official wechat account when it opens to visitors on June 16.

On Monday morning, the construction crew was making the final touch in the impression exhibition hall on the first floor of the China Grand Canal Museum. The exhibition hall accurately reproduces the hustle and bustle of marketplaces on both sides of the canal during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, creating a historical scene and real business format.

Outside the museum, workers were seen maintaining an outdoor landscape greening project with a total area of more than 60,000 square meters.

For the first time, the river water is poured into the landscape lake between the museum and the Universiade Tower, which contrasts with the Jinyue Bridge in the upstream.

Based in Yangzhou city, east China’s Jiangsu province, the Grand Canal Museum of China will offer online appointment-based visit through its official wechat account when it is inaugurated on June 16th.

A daily cap of 10 thousand visitors is set for the trial period with the maximum of 5000 visitors to be allowed on the opening day.
